With very simple flight controls, all your attention can be focussed on the sky-full of enemy aircraft zooming your way. Flying your bomber requires a simple touch and sweep over the screen as the plane follows your finger over the action. Gunfire is automatic and you have an endless supply of ammunition. Bombs are released by a double tap, brings blazing destruction to ground-based targets. The air is filled with enemy fire, bombs and planes so accurate movement and targeting is crucial. The excellent graphics and perfect animation help to get your blood racing, and with the dramatic heart-pumping soundtrack, adrenaline will soon be flowing through your veins.
Towards the end of each level, AirAttack HD confronts you with a ‘boss’ style plane to destroy, anything from a huge bomber to a Nazi Zeppelin. These take some pounding before they expire, and with the stream of fire coming at you from the ground as well as the boss, it’ll take you a few goes to master each one. As you progress through each level you collect health and cash from each enemy you destroy. Cash is spent at the end of each level to ramp up your bomber as you choose from a number of upgrades from the bomber shop.
AirAttack HD has the graphics, sound, fluidity, addiction and fun factor of games a lot more expensive than the 99 cents charged. AirAttack HD is a brilliant vertical scroller and worth a dollar of anyone’s money.
